1 Month Check up!

We survived our first month!  Time for a party.  I mean... Everly is a month old and doing well.  She is starting to have some longer stretches of sleep, that definitely helps!  One night she slept almost 7 hours, and it was wonderful.  Normally it's between 1 and 4 hour stretches.  Luther is also teething so we are up with him occasionally.  It's been about 5 years since we've had much sleep so we are ready for a few good nights :)  While we both love babies, we are definitely ready to be through the sleepless nights stage.

So far at 1 month Everly has been pretty good.  Sometimes she's cranky and cries but she can usually be soothed with walking, eating, or a diaper/clothing change.  She's had a bit of a cold lately so she has a hard time breathing but that's mostly at night.  She is still sleeping in our room so I can reach over and grab her at night pretty quickly to feed her.  Luther LOVES her, but he isn't so careful with her.  Graham goes in spurts where he doesn't really care and then he can't get enough of her.  She's starting to smile more at us and definitely notices us moving around now.  It's fun to see her checking things out.

We are hoping to be moved into our new place this week as long as the weather allows for it.  It's nothing too special, but I'll try to post some pictures once we get a little more settled.  Luther will get to have his own room and Everly and Graham will share.  Graham is a sound sleeper so he will do okay sharing!  We didn't get a moving truck and we have been slowly moving things over.  Just a few more things to go until we can really live there.  But that requires taking out all the seats in the van or straping things to the top of the van, so we wait until we don't have rain in the forecast.  It also takes some planning to not interfere with naptime or eating times for Luther.  He loves to be on schedule.

The boys love our new place.  We haven't spent too much time inside, but that's because we are enjoying our outdoor space.  We have a swingset and sandbox that they love.  Luther could sit on the swing for hours!  I even tried to bribe him with cookies one time and he didn't even take me up on the offer!  It's so nice having this warm weather to enjoy!  I think all of our snow has finally melted too! I wasn't sure that would ever happen.  And of course soon it will be so hot that we will wonder if winter will ever come :)
