1 Year!

We took Graham in for his 1 year appointment and everything is looking good! The doctor said he was growing well, but we weren't too worried about that. He weighed 24 pounds 3 ounces and was 31 inches long. He was about 75% for weight and 80ish% for height. He's pretty much been along those lines since he was born. He got some shots which was not a happy moment for him. He cried for a little while but once we left the room and went out into the office to leave he was fine. He just needed a little change of scenery.

He keeps us very busy and is learning new words all the time. He understands quite a bit but is just starting to say more things.

He loves...
...to look for lights and fans in every room he enters. We spend a lot of time looking up.

...reading his books about puppies and kittens. He recently learned what sound a bee makes and every time I "buzzzz" he giggles.

...to give kisses! I have to ask him sometimes for them and sometimes he's not in the mood to give them. When he is in the mood though, watch out! He attacks and gives 5 or so super slobbery wide open mouth kisses.

...being outside. He points out trees, street lamps, and cars. He looks for airplanes. He points out dogs. We spend a lot of time naming things outside.

...climbing. He learned to climb on the futon in his play room and recently learned to climb on the couch in our living room. I was putting a dish away in the kitchen one morning and when I came back he had climbed onto the couch and was reading a book.

...screaming. Lately he's been screaming to get our attention or to let us know he wants something or is unhappy. We do not love this part. Hopefully he figures out the words soon so the screaming can calm down a little!

...being busy. He can spend so much time exploring the house, pushing toys around and looking at books. He is such a great baby!

His schedule is pretty routine lately. Down at 8:30 for bed, up at 6:30 for a bottle (trying to get rid of this), up at 8 for good. Down around 11 for a nap for 2 hours. Down around 4 for a 1 hour nap. Of course there is plenty of eating and play time in between!

That's a little summary of our life with Graham a 1!
